Seaman's journal : journal of a voyage from Boston to Calcutta in the ship "Hoogly," 1828 May 23-1829 March 21.

Log book containing nautical readings and measurements, meteorological observations, sightings of other ships, marine life and birds; Davison also notes repairs made and maintenance of the ship by the crew. The volume also includes an account of an eclipse seen at Siam (March, 1829), and "poetic effusions" directed to his wife, written on board the ship "Sachem," 1829-1831.
